John baptised with water those who repent of their sins and turned to God. But someone came to us who is greater than he was – so much greater that even he was not worthy even to be His slave and carry His sandals.
He will baptise us with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
He will feed His flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs
in His arms, holding them close to His heart. He will gently lead the mother
sheep with their young.
He will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with
age. He made you, and He will care for you. He will carry you along and save
you.
He says, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I
will give you rest.”
So, keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Keep working at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry the Father has given you, to His glory. Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
The Lord says; “My mercy and justice are coming soon. My salvation is on the way. My strong arm will bring justice to the nations. All distant lands will look to Me and wait in hope for My powerful arm. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown. Look, I really am coming soon, bringing My reward with Me to repay all people according to their deeds! Yes, I am coming soon!”
Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
