Pure Integrity

It is embarrassing and shameful for those of us who have learned about holiness to even talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret, or these days, even in the open! But the incredible, spiritually pure love of Christ reveals all of our evil intentions for what they are, for they will be utterly exposed when the light shines on them, for His light makes everything ‘visible’, especially to those of us with discernment from His Spirit.

Because the Word of God is alive and powerful, it can greatly aid us all with our discerning of evil, both inside and outside of us. In this sense, it is sharper than even the sharpest two-edged sword, being able to cut between soul and spirit. As God intended, it exposes our innermost thoughts and desires under the scrutiny of His white hot holiness, measuring us against the perfect standard that God expects of us. That is why those of us who study God’s word have such a healthy fear of the Lord, for we know we come up very short, and we realise our desperate need for the Saviour.
People with integrity walk through this darkness safely, for they walk with the Lord in humility, recognising their faults and striving to be better with every day that passes. But those who follow crooked paths will soon be exposed, for even though the way seems right to them at the time, they seem to be unaware that it leads directly to death. Even if you graciously point it out to them, they scowl murderously, for the sad fact is that the majority of people on earth love and prefer darkness more than they love the light. Our broken world is a testament to that.
People sometimes cover over their seething interior hatred with pleasant words or kind gestures, but those with godly discernment know full well that they are actually deceivers; they may pretend to be kind to you, but it is wisdom to not fully believe them and take their so-called kindness to heart, for you may have already discerned that they have ulterior motives for it. Not everything is as it seems. The hearts of unbelievers are full of many evils, for they have not yet known the mercy of God, and they think and act out from the flesh. Whilst their wickedness may be concealed by deceptive trickery, their wrongdoing will one day be exposed in public, for all to see. So, take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness with them… instead, expose them for what they are, under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit!
It should be made known to all of us that truthful words will always stand the test of time, but it is also written in the scriptures that all lies will soon be exposed. So, do not put your hope in any lies, for they shall disappear like the morning mist, never to be known again.

If people are prophesying in a church meeting you are a part of, and unbelievers (or people who don’t understand these things) happen to come into the meeting for some reason and hear it, they will in fact be convicted of sin and judged by what is being said. This is the power of prophecy. You’ll note that as they listen, their secret thoughts will be exposed to themselves by the Spirit, and if their hearts are soft enough, they may well fall to their knees and worship God, declaring, “God is truly here among you!” Never forbid such prophecy in your church meetings, for this reason.
Are you aware that nothing in all creation is hidden from God? Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, including all human hearts, and He is the one to whom we all are accountable.

Our Saviour grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, yet like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about His appearance on earth, nothing physically alluring to attract us towards Him. Conversely, He was in fact despised and rejected; a man of great sorrows, who was acquainted with the deepest of griefs. Believe it or not, we all turned our backs on Him and looked the other way.

He was despised, and we did not care.

Yet, it was OUR weaknesses He carried, and it was OUR sorrows that weighed Him down. And many of us thought that all His troubles were a just punishment from God, a punishment for His own sins! But you should all be very aware that He was pierced for OUR rebellion, and He was crushed for OUR sins. By some great, majestic move of grace, the innocent interceding for the guilty, He was beaten so that we could be made whole. He was whipped so we could be healed, both physically and spiritually!

Sheep are pretty stupid animals, with strong wills of their own. Any farmer knows the frustration of keeping these animals. Well, all of us, like sheep, have at some point strayed away from the right road. In our stubborn blindness, we have all left God’s paths to follow our own.Yet, the LORD laid on the Saviour the sins of us all, for complete reconciliation back to Himself.
Because of this, Jesus was oppressed and treated very harshly, yet He courageously never said a word in opposition to this mystical plan. He was therefore led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep is silent before the shearers, He did not open His mouth.

You may know the story, but it’s worth telling you all again. Unjustly condemned, He was led away. And NONE of us cared that He died without descendants, or that His life was cut short in midstream. But He was struck down for the rebellion of the Lord’s chosen people! He had never even done anything wrong, and He had never deceived ANYone. Yet, He was buried like a criminal; He was put in a rich man’s grave.

Incredibly, it was the LORD’s good and perfect plan to crush Him like this, and cause Him such grief. When His life was made an offering for sin, He gained many ‘descendants’. The Lord’s good plan has prospered in His hands. When He sees all that has been accomplished by His unparalleled anguish, He will in fact be perfectly satisfied. Because of His experience, He has made it possible for many to be counted righteous, for He bears all our sins upon the cross.
The LORD will give Him the honours of a victorious soldier on that great and terrible day of judgement, because He exposed himself to death in this way. To some it seems very strange that He was counted among rebels (like us), but the reality is that He bore the sins of many, and interceded for rebels, like me.

So, think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how many of you remained faithful to Him even though it meant suffering, sometimes terribly! Some of you were exposed to public ridicule and were even beaten; and sometimes you helped others who were suffering those same things. Some of us have suffered along with those of the brethren who were even thrown into jail, and some of you accepted it with joy when all you owned was unjustly taken from you.

Those people among you who these things happened to knew that there were better things waiting, things that will last forever! So never let go of that hope, for it is a very real hope. Let it drive our faiths, for all who are victorious in this way SHALL see eternal life!
