. “LOVE” is the most popular, most worshipped false god; it is the golden calf of our time.

Everyone worships it for itself as it glitters with gold, and it is certainly blasphemy to speak against it, especially in the name of holiness.

Yes, you are right! (I can already hear you say it…) God IS love, but God is ALSO holy and righteous. God is love, but love is not God. You need all the characteristics of God to be worthy of worship; love on its own is not enough.

Love without righteousness and absolute purity is actually no love at all, for it comes with ulterior motives that make it subtly evil. 
To paint a picture of it to explain, it’s the poison of iniquity laced inside an attractively appetising ‘cake’. The cake looks so good to eat, but you’ll die horribly if you actually eat it because it’s deceitfully dressed, just like the sumptuous fruit of the knowledge of good and evil that was offered to Eve by the serpent.

So, watch out friends! Make sure that the love you indeed worship is based solely within the limitations of the righteousness and holiness of God, and that it doesn’t EVER contradict relevantly moral scriptures that are written in those precious eternal words by the hand of God’s own Spirit.
The whole issue with our generation is that most people want love without either the purity or responsibility, hence why homosexuality and other fornication is not only permissible but even celebrated, and why other religions are embraced as equal truths in defiance of what the Christ taught us and also in the face of His mighty sacrifice for us all. 
Even aborting helpless defenceless babies in the womb is done in the name of love… think of it! Murder dressed as righteousness.

Truly, truly I say unto thee, our post-modern generation bows to this golden calf (sadly, even many in the church!), whilst ‘Moses’ is up the mountain hearing and etching the commands of righteousness into stone, then come down from His lofty place only to discover the filthy idolatrous sins of Israel in His absence… believe me, then He will take His action. Be aware, judgement day looms and we must all give an account; surely there will be many who acted on account of their false god of love without purity.
