Who REALLY Is The Overcomer?

Who can win this battle against the world, and against the devil? The hard truth is that it’s only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God who can overcome. So, set yourself to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

Believe me, it is VERY advisable (once you are part of His kingdom) to remember to put on all of God’s armour, so that you will be able to stand firm against all wicked strategies of the devil. Because they are invisible to humans most of the time, people forget that we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
These principalities are demonic spirits who can even work miracles, and they go out to all the rulers of the world to gather them for battle against the Lord on that great judgement day of God the Almighty.

Always be aware that you cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord’s Table and at the table of demons, too. We must examine ourselves to make sure our loyalties are completely for the Lord!
The Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in these last times, some (maybe even many) will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits, and learn and spread teachings that come from demons. For example, jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic, and it should be obvious to someone who really does love the Lord that this is so, to the point where they fight it at all costs.
Therefore, we must put on every piece of God’s armour so we will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after any battle, we will still be standing firm, just like Jesus did in His temptations in the desert against the tempter. We must stand our ground then, putting on the belt of truth and the body armour of God’s righteousness. For ‘shoes’, we must put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that we will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, we must hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Remember to put on salvation as our helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Although it’s not easy, we must strive to pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. We must stay alert and be persistent in our prayers for all believers everywhere.

By the way, along with the apostle Paul, I am also convinced that nothing can ever separate the faithful from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. Be encouraged with that thought, and work hard for His kingdom until we see His return!
